Welcome to the Eriskay Golf Club website!

A Particular Welcome to Visitors!

This is a Golf Club with a difference! To appreciate just how different, you should probably start with the "History of the Club" page...... And, if after reading that you still would like to be considered for Membership, here's where to find more information.

4 April Medal and 2015 Fixture List

The first Medal competition of the year, held at Tain Golf Course on 4 April, was won by Neil Macdonald, with Philip Bannerman in close pursuit. The competition started in benign conditions, but by the turn the wind had risen to what some would call a "stiff breeze", which made things difficult for the late starters in particular. A good start to the season!

The next competition will be the prestigious Bonnie Prince Charlie Shield, on 10 May. We have a new competitions booking system now operating. Details available here.   The 2015 Fixture list is now available here.

I am delighted to announce we now have a number of sponsors in place for the new season - M&J Joinery, an Inverness-based, all-trades joinery firm, have again - for the second year running - offered to sponsor the Club Championships. And Andy McGinn, one of our Members from Orkney, has generously agreed to sponsor the Bonnnie Prince Charlie Shield competition. And we are delighted that Eriskay Member, Jimmy Christie, of Culloden Service Station will be sponsoring the Piper Trophy. Grateful thanks to all of them! We should very much welcome more sponsors - sponsoring a competition will not cost a fortune - speak to Willie Rusk about how we might promote your business while you help the Club thrive.

New Competition Booking System

The Club has this year invested in a new handicapping system ("ClubV1")which, amongst other improvements, allows us to automate our competition online bookings. (This now replaces the "Wuffoo" system we developed in-house and have been using for the past couple of years). The new system makes things a lot easier to administer and there are significant benefits for our Members also. The new system makes use of the Howdidido website, on which our Members are entitled to free use of the standard package. Please go to the Competition Entries page for details of how to make competition entries - and Willie Rusk and others will still be available at the end of a phone to assist in case of problems!

Fees 2015

One AGM decision I can advise is that the fees for the 2015 season have been set at the real bargain price of £90. Look at what you get for that!

- 8 rounds of competitive golf at Tain Golf Course (plus 3 more if you apply for the Orkney trip)

- Reduced fee of £10 for  the annual Whisky Galore Open and Seniors Open

- Golf Insurance (feel free to hit passers-by at will, knowing the cost may be covered...)

- SGU and North District fees paid on your behalfHowdidido

- Full handicap admin & management

By now all Members should have received their letter of invitation to renew their Membership. If you have not yet received that, please contact Willie Rusk immediately. If you have received your letter, the Club would greatly benefit from your Membership subscription being paid as soon as possible. Find out here full details of membership and how to pay.

Members' Pages - Login Password

Members can get access to additional pages if they login correctly. Use the "Login" tab at the top left of this page, choose "Member" from the dropdown menu, and enter your password - simple as that. You do of course need a password to be able to do that - send me an email and I shall email you back your password. But - don't get too excitied! The content of the Members' Pages has not yet been properly developed - some day I will get round to it, honest!
