Lost Eriskay Golfers Found Safe & Well !

Six of our Members went missing while on active service recently.........They completed the 9th hole at the Orkney Golf Club while undertaking our Club's Orkney Challenge event....but then they failed to appear on the 10th tee........ Before we scrambled the Coastguard to help search for them, they turned up, admitting to have played the 12th hole by mistake........Fortunately they spotted their error on completing the 12th but had not teed off at the 13th - that would have meant disqualification for all six. Instead a two point penalty deduction to their Stableford scroes was applied. At the end of the day, the deduction did not actually have any affect on the winner - Iain Fraser, whose 41 points - and his sense of direction- was too good for the rest.
